Why is Plaquenil use frightening? Or have I misunderstood you?
If ARDS is essentially a kind of auto inflammatory response, where body’s own self “defense” mechanism attacks itself, why wouldn’t something that was used all the time to suppress rheumatoid arthritis and other auto immune disorders possibly help suppress the ARDS reaction that occurs after a Covid infection?
Which is why there is similar potential to help as when it helps non steroid responsive transplant reactions.
Interesting that they are using steroids as a late treatment. Suggestions have been made that steroids worsen, but maybe at that stage anything is worth a go!
Also hydroxyq plus azithromycin is bring used
