Is there really a need to pay expensive salaries and benefits for an "Executive Vice President of Corporate Development" ? (I'm assuming that this is the person who spends all day hiring people like the EVP of External Affairs and Social Performance, and the EVP of People and Culture). What do these people do all day ? Lots of coffee being consumed, I'd assume. There is no need for these people IMHO. They need to get real about their costs and management structure, they are not a huge global mining company with massive profits who can afford to carry excessive and unneeded layers of middle management. We are living in the age of COVID-19, in case they haven't noticed. At the very least, those 3 roles above can be rolled into one !! It's time for these guys to come down to earth, and get real. Gw

I think you underestimate the scope and extent of their global operations and therefore the management structure required to over see and co-ordinate the whole structure. Have you checked out any similar companies to compare management structures. Probably not an easy task but perhaps needed before throwing stones.
