I suppose my initial 'complaint' comes from the fact that a few months ago the CEO of Australian Super made a comment to the effect all SMSF's should be shut down and funds transferred into industry funds. Now it just happens he is in control of the largest industry fund in Aussie and because they are now reaching the limits of growth due to compulsory super reaching maturity he wants a grab at SMSF's hence he tends to attack them at every opportunity. Now the tables have turned and funds are short of liquidity they want a bailout. SMSF's cannot get a bailout because we risk our own funds.

I just see it as being hypocritical. I'd rather they just pull their heads in and leave SMSF's alone, they are already more highly regulated than industry or retail funds.
