The last thing we want is people living longer now that the market crash has destroyed a lot of their retirement income ;)
I still think cleantech/renewable energy a good bet. Electric cars and other ways of doing things more efficiently still make sense in a downturn. Maybe something left field from a scientific breakthrough also e.g. nanotechnology.
