tsk tsk tsk, I do believe you are posting on my thread. My disclosure is irrelavent to you - life is a lot more sophisticated than you can imagine. There is no need to get personal, why can't you jyst discuss the stock? I'm sure there are many ppl who believe they could do a better job, that is also irrelavent to the ability to criticise. And, yes, some of us do know what goes on behind the scenes, as some of us are directly involved (not me, however, I hasten to add) or are associated with those that are - don't assume too much.

UMC has just got through a very bad legal period, one that has ramifications across all directors of that company and one that had a direct impact on the share price - notwithstanding the market. Whether the price would have gone as low as it has without that is unknowable, but it certainly did not help. UMC's resource is a genuinely great discovery (unlike, eg, Atlas' - its a joke, btw, that Rio would EVER be interested in Atlas, given UMC's resource right on their rail line). A great discovery and resource needs a great directorship. UMC's is below average at best, self-serving at worst. May I kindly suggest that if you do not like my opinion, you not read my thread?
