There's a joke - US government bonds safe!!! Funniest thing I've read all day.
The US government has defaulted on these many times in the past. Not recently, but there is historical precedent.
And what is this credit bubble all about? Carrying too much debt if I remember. Now, remind me again, how much does the US government owe the rest of the world??
