You and I know that there is a big difference between a Oz company buying a NZ company or vice versa.

Aussies and Kiwis are so alike in every way, that there really is no threat to their way of life either way.

" Whats the difference between Australia being owned by American or Chinese companies? "

There are huge differences as most people know.
They are a question of honesty.
A question of culture.
The history of sticking up for each other in times of conflict even if the Yanks need to be dragged kicking and screaming to the battle sometimes. ( After several years of WW1 and after Pearl Harbour in WW2. )

The Yanks just want to make money whereas the Chinese want to take us over, steal what we have in resources and dominate us.

You know that the Aussies and Kiwis would not sell granny but the Chinese certainly would betray her as long as they thought they could do it while " saving face ".
