Well if it's good for everyone associated with real estate, why shouldn't some other industry have tax payer largesse rained down on then?
How about a first-time-to-a-hookers grant? One could argue that the cab driver gets a lift, Ansell get a lift, the hooker gets a lift, the utilities company that bathes the brothel in light and power gets a lift, the private school the hooker sends her kids to gets a lift and last but not least spotty virgins get a lift. It allows them for the first time to get "into the market".
Why not have all industries on the taxpayer's teat?
I really don't get your point.
Money flowing from taxpayers to landlords in the guise of helping first home buyers is crock.
