Jockey202 asked about FAR yesterday. This is what I wrote in reply.

There is an independent review of the China project at the back of the ROC Prospectus (pages 62-67).

12-7-1 is testing a new prospect and according to RISC it is a medium risk (i.e. has a 1 in 5 chance of success). It may hold between 43 and 47 MMbbl (ROC page 67).

12-8-3 is a followup hole to test extensions, reservoir characteristics, etc. It may hold 31MMbbl (ROC, page 62).

Possible total (unrisked) recoverable in the block is 108MMbbl (ROC p67). The national oil company can be expected to take up 51% by way of a back-in.

The targets can be fast tracked into production if a discovery is made. The drilling will be fast and the results known in a few weeks.
