While this is indeed an exciting announcement, given the current pandemic, it was hardly surprising because SPL7013 is known to be a potent anti-viral substance as the release states.
What has not been said is whether SPL7013 can be used in internal medicine to fight the virus within the body. Much as Tamiflu and Relenza fight the influenza virus.
Tomorrow will be "interesting".
