G'day bluesdog, I'll give you my history on this stock.
I have traded and held CVI since day one of the first post from T4P after one of my friends gave me an urgent call after he studied it. I traded it up into the 20's and then let it go. I think I got lucky, I traded it for 20wins and 2 losses(and they were small) My friend was not far from the top twenty. He sold out when it came back below 17c and I said I would stay away until the funding was approved.
I couldn't help myself but to daytrade what I saw as the panic selling days and did okay but never held.
When it went below 10c I couldn't believe it and starting buying in at around 100,000 share buys at a time. When the refinery announcement came I was holding around 700,000 and was pissed that I hadn't bought more. I could not believe the retrace, but I suppose the market had guessed that the 1.1b funding was not going to come through. I took my stop loss then bought back to 1.1m and then stopped loss x 2 more times and not a happy camper with the crash and now I have recently gone to 1.8m. My average price is around 4c, not taking into account what I made from trading it on the way up.
I sold out of all my other stocks. I'm holding cash and will double my holdings in CVI if I sense that the refinery deal will be signed.
So anyway, I am holding for the long term from my own judgements, but do like to hear theories to analyse.
