Many manufacturers use Thailand for light commercials & 4x4s. Like in Aus, the multinationals wont realise their profit in Thailand but instead squirrel it away in the tax havens

This is where Brand can be deceptive, IMO. We associate Honda, Mazda , Nissan & Suzuki as being made in Japan and these brands are quite shy in labeling their model's country of manufacture., IMO.
