I’m actually surprised that there is not more conversation being had on this thread about the massive expansion that has just been announced by our neighbours in the Surat.
someone was banging on about the risk of Woodside’s gas 6000kms away being a risk with no pipeline within cooee of the east coast, yet here we have 600 wells just about to be drilled and they reckon online by next year!! arrow already supply 40% of the qld market and much of this new gas will be marketed here.
negotiating long term gas contracts right now would be difficult and I should imagine it has just got somewhat harder. fyi, there are 2500 wells in this little present!!
