Hi mate, I had the same thoughts, and that's why I have invested a large sum of money in OOO with an average price $6.5. I am in deep regret now.

I didn't realise the contango is so damn high at this moment, which will make the high correlation disappear.

You can find the current future curve on below link. In May's contract, the difference beturn spot price($18.5) and contract price($26) is nearly 40%, which mean when they roll the contract, the value of the fund’s Net Asset Value declines.

If there has no big bounce in oil price in near future, we will face a 2% loss on each trading day, as the roll cost will detract from the performance of the fund over the course of a month.
