Brisbane destroyed Virgin Australia. By judging the BPT SP, I’d say the Adelaide HQ of BPT is only doing good for the shorters, would you not? BPT even pays royalty tax and has to pay for its HQ in Adelaide. It gets no subsidy at all from the South Australian Government, is completely unloved and it’s SP is way down because of it IMHO.
IMHO BPT could get a far greater deal elsewhere in Sydney where they want business, have better staff and more scale or Victoria where they also have good staff and lower tax bases than the other states because of their scale.
Adelaide is putting the BPT SP massively behind where it should be. Time for BPT management to pull the plug and move it’s HQ to either Sydney or failing that to Melbourne IMHO.
