Look at Indonesia, PNG, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu. Poverty stricken, corrupt and vital to our security. $57 million doesn't go a long way in public health initiatives in those countries. Malaria, it's prevention and treatment for one.
Maybe it is a better idea, and far far more transparent if Australia were to spend that money on direct aid. Our drugs, medical staff and transport do the work instead of Who. Remove a layer of bloated manipulated politicized bureaucracy.
