It doesn't matter which way it's facing, really. It just changes the way they will interpret the geology, and geophysics, and would change the interpretation of how to continue drilling. Or, if you're an armchair expert, how you criticise the company geologists for not drilling along strike.

I mean, to be precise here, what the hell does this guy reckon the strike is? How do you drill along strike if you don't know which way is up, even?

These systems are not easy, flat, layered chocolate torte cakes. They are dynamic, blobby, inter-fingering lensoidal shaped, chaotic and mixed-up, multi-phase intrusions where later pulses of magma cut through and interrupt, stope out and remove earlier phases of magma. Ten holes in to a resource which will likely have hundreds of holes, you don't know at all - not even and especially not me - which way is up, which way is down, which way the magma was flowing (north, south, east, west, down to the NW or up to the NE?) which is the early phases of the intrusion, which is the later phases.

So, to sit back in your old persons' unit in suburban Melbourne (I'm assuming) while smashing 9 a.m. Yellowglens in quarantine, getting stonking drunk and expecting Chalice geologists in a muddy farmer's paddock 70km NE of Perth to know all this from 2 diamond holes, is patently the act of a day drinker.

I mean, who to trust? The geologists who were smart enough to peg and drill this in the first place, or random day drinkers in isolation?
