PPS completed 12 injection course, page-212

Hi all ... I've been a bit quiet here lately, but I'll chip in ...

I have grade 4 OA in my right knee and probably grade 3 in my left. All sorts of other niggles in other joints.The major problem I had was that after about 300m of walking myu whole left knee would just go into spasm and give way underneath me. And it hurt like buggery.

When I had my course of injections last October I was on 50mg Voltaren (Diclofenac) ... After four weeks, I stopped taking the Voltaren, because the knee (and all the other niggles) had stopped hurting.

Six months later, I take a Voltaren maybe twice a week - after a long walk, usually, but I get none of those weird spasmy pains I used to have. I can do as much yoga as I want (currently at least daily lol) without the knee giving me any issues

What I can say is that the knee is not 100% - I can feel where it's bone on bone in the medial compartment (right knee - I posted an xray some months ago, but I wouldn't say it's painful - I'm just aware of it - it's sort of like the joint ache you get when you have a fever, except in one specific spot. Before I had the injections, my whole knee, shin, upper leg and hip were a miasma of local and received pain that made any weight bearing exercise or exertion impossible.

I could really do with a booster, I think, but it's probably the charitable thing to do to let others have their round 1 before I go back for round 2.

By the way, I don't know if anyone remembers, but the foot drop that mysteriously appeared in December seems to have resolved itself ...
