Whatever works is fine.

However for most of us here, suggesting we put our charts away and just use our brains is like telling a pilot to close his eyes and just use his brain.

A brain is the most important component but if it has no outside input, then I suspect a lot of crash landings.

Charts are no guarantee, but they show you various landing strips.

The plane can come down anywhere but more than likely it will be at one of the landing strips and the better the landing strip the better the chance.
