And how would he know the intentions of completely new Investors? If anything they are likely to be the least sticky. Existing shareholders are being heavily diluted, why would you gloat about giving them no allocation and giving their discounted allocation to completely new shareholders?
It's just a poor way to treat loyal existing shareholders who have stuck by the company, and risked their capital to support the company. Something the CEO can never lay claim too.
