G'day Moosey, no the patent is not solely directed at Covid-19. The patent is for a variety of viruses, but notably includes a broad range of past, current and new Coronaviruses - Covid-19 falling into the category of "new" coronavirus at time of publication, as such. I would imagine that testing on Covid-19 would be therefore be covered within this patent, at least until a possible next stage is reached, and a new more definitive patent is filed by BIT, the owner of the other compound (after purchasing some sort of rights to BIT and Vice Versa), or both.
