Investigating this rumour of a big seller, I looked through the transactions from today (Thursday 23-10) and reconstructed the big sells of even amounts. It is not obvious at first as the big seller will pick up a number of smaller buyers.

Each of these sales occurred without the seller's offer appearing in the market depth ie direct and immediate sales - all anybody knows about it is the sudden disappearance of bids.

That's 1.1 million, total volume today was 6 mill (6,166,323). Thus the seller is more of just a nuisance and has been making things look worse than they really are by the sudden selling just when things settle. That may or may not be their intention. The polite thing to do is to place the full order at some price above the current trading price and let the market peck away at the shares offered at its leisure - at least that way we know where we stand, and certainty is most desirable at any time.
