Placebo effect ? if they're on a ventilator they're unconscious and don't know what's happening.
Tiny sample size, yeah only 12 but 10/12 survival is a lot better than the 1 or 2 expected to survive, there's also no control group but the general 90% mortality rate is a good guidefor those requiring ventilation.
