I still have some questions around the ESOP, as there were a few other Israeli staff supposedly sitting under the ESOP, including Yaron Bar-Tal & Lior Zitershpiler who had 1,108,045 between them in early 2018, and might have got that up to 1,722,588 after the 2nd milestone consideration shares in Dec 2017. Original Emefcy staff (outside of Eytan and Ronen) were supposed to end up with 2,172,214 after the 2nd milestone consideration shares were awarded. I believe Yaron also exercised at least 132,884 options in Dec 2019.
The existence of the other ESOP account (1 million shares) in the Top 40 of 2019 helps to account for some of these, most likely belonging to Yaron.
I am glad that you can confirm that Eytan and Ronen each "only" sold around 4 million shares each, both at the same time. It makes sense that they had some deferred Israeli tax obligations arising from the "sale" of Emefcy onto the ASX. Selling about a third of their holdings to cover tax obligations makes sense, selling more does not. I do understand some of your negativity around this event, since this market pressure caused some of the collapse of the share price, but it is what it is.
