These are the 12 people who were dosed in the compassionate use section of the project that started dosing in late March. The people designing the 240 person trial needed some kind of data set to point them in the right direction, dose rates, time frames for responses that sort of thing, that general idea is quite clearly alluded to in the ASX release.
Compassionate use, via an EAP still exists in the US, nothing stopping access to it as I understand it.
