Its quite possible that it will flop, the biotech industry is littered with extremy positive phase 1 and 2 trials that failed at phase 3.
A couple of recent examples that come to mind are the chemo drug that was treating Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and there was an alzeihmers drug that flopped and lost some high profile investors a pretty penny.
what it comes down to is that just 12 patients is a very small trial and there might be a whole bunch of reasons (and biasis) as to why those 8 or 9 got well that we are not completely aware of ...
in a sense the concept isnt proven yet, thats the job of a phase 3 trial.............granted there is a lot of chatter on this forum that we are as good as gold, but i would politely suggest that they either have disingenous motives or do not understand the scientific method as well as a biotech investor should...
My advice is to research what a double blind trial is, why placebos are important in a trial , and what numbers make trials statistically important.
