Mirabella jumped 40% to close at $1.40 Canadian last night which is around $1.76 AUD.

Also, Vale has made cutbacks to its nickel supply. And surprise, surprise, their Goro and Onca Puma nickel laterite projects are now going to be late.

Accordingly, nickel also jumped 10% in price on the LME.

And don't forget, Vale own 9.6% of MBN and I hazard to guess that this company would definitely be in their sights.

I also read somewhere (and maybe someone could confirm this) that Mirabella has a standstill agreement with Vale where Vale cannot purchase anymore shares until December this year.

If this is true, it could be a very interesting December.
