    tolersmurf, maybe i agree with your view to the difference to 1987, but you are totally out of line comparing us to the 20/s and 30's.....the World leaders have made it very clear they will do whatever it takes to return the markets to normal. this is 2008. the reality is that the world leaders do not and will not allow the world to go into depression. and if you think they cant iron this mess out , then i dont think its worth me commenting further. things will remain fragile for a long time yet but the markets will recover some 20-30 percent soon. even if you go back to the depression days, the market recovered some 30% before the end of the depression.
