As an aide-memoire, NST first announcement relating to COVID-19 was 26-Mar - 5 days before the March quarter finished. This is where they also cancelled interim dividend payments to shareholders. Not that 7.5c was much of a dividend.
Increasing ASIC is a fact whichever way you try to dress it. In all practicality, COVID-19 has had next to zero impact on the March quarter. If it was accepted that it COVID-19 is to have a material impact on the ASIC, then the Jun-20 quarterly figures will be north of today's A$1504.
NST now have near all time highs of the POG, lows in AUD and the price of oil (with diesel being ~20% the cost of production) NST roll-on with the luck of the Irish with these external factors. The evangelistic BB is just using COVID-19 as a convenient smokescreen to muddy the waters on a company that does not have the earnings to support its overvalued SP.
