We were looking awesome up until i went oversees at the start of September. Then had the driest September on record and only 8mm so far for the month and the average is 68mm.
People will start cutting canola this week if it dosen't rain; partly due to frosting. Wheat and Barley just hanging in, probably around 20% of potential yield. Rain forecast for this week 5mm and 25mm in a forenight.
If we get this it will be a get out of jail free card. Hard to believe the rainfall patterns in this so called secure high rainfall area (650mm).
