I understand the difference between drugs and therapies and honestly that's not the point I'm trying to get across so I really don't care, that's a very nit picky detail that isn't worth harping on about.

There is massive risk with stem cells. These come from another human. There's risks with drugs as well but the risks of allogeneic treatments can be quite high, and the effects of injecting mesenchymal stem cells are still quite unknown and poorly understood. A couple low powered phase 1 and 2 trials is not enough to really understand the therapy. Period.

You can pretend to have confidence in this therapy but at the end of the day it's rolling the dice because for every company that successfully gets through phase 3 trials there are hundreds that got to this stage and failed. This is the hurdle. Having realistic expectations is not a bad thing.
