The market is pricing in an economic apocalypse. With many stocks trading below their cash backing, and others still earning yet getting dumped what we are seeing is a complete lack of confidence in any kind of functional equity market in the future. This is indeed the perfect storm, with negative sentiment feeding off negtive sentiment. It's like a black hole just growing and sucking everything in with it.
