    Scrag I haven't noticed the 1 share business. But that is probably just me not being that observant.

    What you are describing is the correct way to trade where you leave 1 share on the table so you don't force the price either up or down depending on where you are heading.

    What the others are saying is the opposite where you are actually trying to force the share price in the direction you want it to go with using the minimum amount of capital.

    Thus if you have a buy side like this and you want to force it down you would sell 501 shares @ 39c. If this is the case it is blatant manipulation.

    If you wanted to maximise your sale value you would obviously only put an order in for 40c with a volume=< than 500.

    I know you will say that this is a dynamic environment where people play games during the auction but in RES's case this doesn't always happen.
