Spot on. McDoc appeared to be fairly new to both his own industry and investing. Stem cell treatment is such a specialized area of medicine that his opinions were next to worthless in terms of additional insights. Any long term investor here who has done their research would have a significantly better understanding of the issues involved in this area of medicine. If anyone thinks about their own profession, they would be the first to admit their area of specialty does not mean they have any significant insights of another area of specialty on that profession. Yes, the professional training gives a great springboard to further research and understand another specialty but that requires significant effort.

As data driven investors/researchers we won't take into account a N=1 ICU dr/intern opinion when there are plenty of published papers involving thousands of patients. There are also plenty of published papers in stem cell studies by experts in that field. That is the basis hopefully investors are making decisions along with the various analyst reports which have attempted to understand the market size, MSB portion of that market and that corresponding revenue over the short/medium/long term based on some probabilistic estimations.

And unfortunately, I have had similar experiences with you to both drs and emergency room drs. If I am not with my family in those emergency room situations and asking questions and pointing out my own observations, I know 100% that the outcome could have been significantly different. These guys all do best within their ability to cope with the day to day grind but often it is the best and most conscientious which don't last due to their desire to absolutely maximise patient treatment in a profession which cannot work that way for every patient. I have plenty of dr mates and I know the difference in attention/analysis/research/treatment their own family and friends get compared to the general public, unless you have plenty of $$ to pay for the very best.
