I did do a fair amount of work using a system called MetaTrader.

It's language is very much like c, and is not that hard to code.

I found though, that there were some pretty serious slippage problems with oreder placement. I was corresponding with another FOREX trader called Miike who occassionally hangs out here, but kinda gave up as it was taking too much time from my trading and getting me sucked into the coding side while I missed the actual fun of trading.

Worht a look though.. the last iteration I played with was Metatrader4... If I recall correctly there were a number of FOREX brokers who supported the platform. A google search should set you straight.
