Certainly I have argued your scenario, probably before you were posting here, I think.

Apart from the 8 years after the high factor is the Fib factor.

The bull market started in 1974 and can not be disputed I believe.

1974 + Fib 8 = 1982 major bear low.

1974 + Fib 13 = 1987 major bull high and major bear low.

1974 + Fib 21 = 1995 was a shallow bear low and then US markets went ballistic.

1974 + Fib 34 = 2008 probably a major bear low.

1974 + 55 = 2029 I'll be lucky to be around so don't care, lol.

So there is a lot going for 2008 to be more major than 2013 or any other year in the near future.
