I’d agree. I’ve looked at these slides in detail too. IMO there’s some pretty blatant cherry- picking going on with the survival comparisons, and the referencing is a bit shoddy with some referenced papers bearing no connection at all to the statement being made. As for the “majority still alive” issue I too interpreted this as the company implying the full cohort (n 42) from start, not from last May, which would then clearly be a false claim. Even if we give benefit of doubt and accept Merlin’s interpretation that the company means only from May 2019, apart from the fact it’s a spurious timeframe to use here IMO, at the very least they could have quoted an actual number to show the “majority”. For example: of the 21 still alive at May 2019, 13 (or whatever is the number) are still alive as of May 2020. They must know this magic number. Otherwise without it, it just looks fishy.
