CNP directors have built a culture of high fees for directors & chairperson. Given the circumstances now facing CNP it would be a good example to show some restraint & drop fees more in line with other organizations of similiar market capitalizations. Directors need to realize they were all on the board when CNP fortunes changed,yet continue to receive the same directors' fees as in the past. Company is certainly a lot smaller than 12 months ago. How many chairperson receive close to $400,000 p.a.?
I know it has been a difficult year but $400,000 p.a. buys plenty of full time CEO's in smaller companies. Chairperson is not a full time position.
