I suspect many are incorrectly assuming that Qantas will become profitable again just because restrictions are possibly going to be relaxed soon. Until a vaccine is available, social distancing measures will continue to limit the ability of flights to be 100% filled and some people will still be reluctant to fly. Businesses will also think twice about business travel now that they are more comfortable using teleconferencing and start implementing cost cutting measures. No one knows how long this new 'normal' will go on for and anyone who states otherwise is lying.
