Here is an illuminating chart. Evolution Mining and Regis Resources, two stocks I own but follow less closely than Gold Road, have each outperformed the latter on a 3 month basis, which coincides with the crash of the financial system, negative interest rates and COVID-19 (the seasonal flu). It also coincides with the annihilation of banking dividends, but not just banking dividends.
Previously, GOR had smashed RRL on a longer term basis and had kept up with EVN, though EVN (a generous dividend payer and well-oiled machine) is the clear winner.
Brain science this is not.
