I too have wondered about that Sin and have had many a conversation with others about it.
I think it's reasonably obvious that the shorters are sitting there under the expectation, that AC will have to raise a bag of money to fund Dorado.
One theory I had, revolved around the shorters' exact identity.
I understand that finding out exactly who they are can be quite difficult. In a nasty twist, perhaps it's the same insto(s) or soph(s) who AC would normally approach when raising large amounts of money, but they've kept this dirty little secret to themselves. Their theory being, they believe they'll once again be given masses of placement stock for Dorado, pay back the insto whom they borrowed from, probably double up and go long and walk away rubbing their hands together.
If this is what's happening that's all well and good, but it does come with one potentially fatal flaw. What if there is no cap raising. Oops
!
AC has already said they have multiple funding options and I can only imagine their faces, if he came out and said: "Yup....Dorado fully funded".
