Can someone explain more about a possible class action.

I had a look at the Slater and Gordon(SG) web site and there's no class action listed (yet?). What does it take to get one started. Is it based on just one person starting it and then others joining in, or does SG (for example) wait until it has enough interest before proceeding?

Also, what would be the justification for the class action? I'm not a lawyer but to my mind the drop in share price does not by itself indicate any reason for the action. Otherwise there are a lot of companies open to this. Like I said I'm not a lawyer so please correct me here.
