If solar thermal was to go ahead, the location of the plant would be determined by the purpose of the plant. If the intentions were to supplement the steam from GDYs wells, then it would have to located within a very close proximity the GDYs Innaminka site.

However, if a solar thermal power plant was to operate independently of GDYs plant, then it could be located elsewhere, although the preference would be for the connection to go into GDYs substation, and not into the new tranny line where-ever you felt like putting it. This is due to the increased protection engineering that would be created with then having a 3-way line. This is the current situation that we have in SA with all the windfarms popping up everywhere.

If a new mine comes along at some stage, then you could be forced to have a new connection along the line, because in this situation the mine is dictating the location, however with a solar thermal power station you can dictate it's location.
