The demand of those 10 investors wanting a $10m position - which they would otherwise have needed to acquire on-market - is now satiated by this issuance of additional equity.
So there is no incremental competitive buying tension from that group of investors.
What's required for incremental competitive buying tension is some sort of new development that causes more than just 10 investors to want a $10m position.
(In fact, some of the additional buying demand from investors 11 and above will be absorbed by some incremental selling from some of Investors 1 to 10 who received stock in the placement, with the intention of flicking it for a quick few % profit)
