I have English, Irish, Swedish/Norwegian in my ancestry too among others. You come across as old school in your beliefs. I can tell because I was raised that way too. But the world changed and I changed my outlook with it. I will admit to not being fully in tune with teenagers beliefs today because most of those are even more radical than I am. The future world will not function anything like the one we have mostly lived with. Peoples values are changing. Right and Left are rapidly losing their meaning as is the work ethic.
