Mmmh, it makes you wonder if the reason they are holding off on a buyout is a recovery in the nuclear fuel market or some other event? I assume they have people smart enough to realise the importance of the tech. Maybe they just can't make up their minds as to whether or not the U.S. can actually be the leader in nuclear energy once more; China and Russia might be too far ahead. Especially with the political challenge of allowing for the reprocessing of fuel. They wouldn't want to commit to something that turns out to be an endless money pit. Possibly they're waiting on a breakthrough in reactor designs, although I would have thought the U.S. is still years ahead of China and Russia in that regard? Who knows... I guess you can't dwell on this stuff for too long because there is an endless amount of conclusions one could draw.
