followme, although I agree with your sentiment with regards to be realistic in these markets and not really wanting to add fuel to the fire but the obvious response to:

“why would they pay a 300% premium? share price is languishing in the 30's after all”

Because it was the uncertainty over their intention (perceived or otherwise) that contributed significantly to the current sp. There will no doubt be a compromise in terms of a "significant premium" so will wait until it is tabled.
