    You make some valid points but I don't think you can differentiate to "interest" element in the consumer psyche.

    The zero interest over 20% annualised is a selling point but if that becomes 10% annualised and given that two or three APT payments are made before the CC bill is due that monthly rate if CC interest is only 0.8% on the full amount or 0.4% on the balance.

    It certainly impacts on the financial appeal of BNPL and as one of the bulls on the stock pointed out he believes annual spend is $2000 it's not a great deal of money.

    69 per cent of BNPL users report it's causing them financial stress and they will be starting to question is value.

    The trend is quite clear in the mature market of ANZ that nett customer additions year on year are showing significant decline.

    The novelty value is wearing off.
