    Don't know anything about NAB

Yes I heard that Commsec were decommissioning protrader, I guess they finally realised that it was a pig to support and opted for Iress which is the dominant trading software in Aus. Seeing that they have 50% of the retail market and are overloaded in so many ways in makes sense for them to go down a third party route and start focussing on customer service which they seem to have forgotten about, unless of course you like talking to an automated robot who redirects your call. Doesn't bode well for etrade either, their product is absolutely appalling. I often hear horror stories from those jokers - don't forget it's not really just a broker anymore it's ANZ. There are a number of other smaller online brokers who are completely respectable - they take your call, help you through any questions you may have, offer good service which I can't say is true of the 2 big players.

I've chosen Minc because they offer the webiress solution which I've been using on and off for ages and it really is very good once you've got used to it and configured it to your liking. It ends up being free of charge (max of $80 I think) if you trade more than 16 times in the month. The webiress also has a DDE link which means you can feed it into Excel. Minc is not an Opes as the stock is held by your CMT account or leveraged account. There is no pooled account which is used to leand out stock. From what the guy at Minc said the staff have previously been in other successful online businesses, fairly sure it was AOT. I love their website, it's packed with useful information.. I found this blog on order vetting on the ASX - gives you a real insight on how brokers vet your orders.

The pricing is incredible for day traders, means I get to keep more $$$$.

    Best of luck
