When you purchase your plasma TV on credit - that is debt.

When you need to fund a public servant retiring in 20 years time - that is liability. How you fund it is another matter.

There is no need to raise the cash for the future liability now. That is the same flawed argument the Liberal party used in arguing about government debt.
